Plantar Fasciitis is a ligament that runs across the bottom of the foot connecting the heel to the toes. It absorbs shock when walking and helps to support the arch of the foot. Tension and stress on this ligament can cause small tears, causing the pain commonly named “plantar fasciitis”.

You can imagine how much stress the plantar fascia is under when playing pickleball with the hard stops and constant bi-lateral (side-to-side) movement. By properly supporting the plantar fascia with a quality insert, you take much of the stress off allowing it to heal.
DT Footwear has been fortunate to work with three pickleball professionals with plantar fasciitis and alleviate the pain by wearing the right shoes in combination with quality inserts.
