Important Note: if your working in a shop or manufacture operation that uses any form of chemicals…

The only boot is to buy is a “Hoss” (that we carry and their widest width is a 6E) that has an INFUSION Bottom, that you need because direct attachment is needed not, sub attachment, or cement contraction will not hold up on any chemical environment.

If you need a 12 9E then go to a Hoss in a 13 6E and should work and here is only 1/8 differences in with but give you that needed width and balance to obtain that 9E comport fit

1. Pick the Right Protection for Your Job

Your work environment should guide the type of boot you choose:

  • Soft Toe: Great for jobs where impact protection isn’t required but all-day comfort and flexibility are. Ideal for light industrial, warehouse, and general use.
  • Safety Toe: Steel or composite toe boots designed to help protect against falling or rolling objects. Recommended for construction, heavy equipment, and other high-risk environments.
  • EH & Slip-Resistant Outsoles: Look for EH (electrical hazard) rated and slip-resistant styles if you work around live electricity, wet floors, or slick surfaces.

2. Choose Features That Match Your Conditions

  • Waterproof or Water-Resistant: If you work outdoors, in mud, or around water, waterproof constructions help keep your feet dry and reduce fatigue.
  • Cushioning & Shock Absorption: Extra cushioning and supportive midsoles are essential if you’re on concrete or hard surfaces all day.
  • Supportive Uppers: Higher shafts and structured uppers provide added ankle support on uneven terrain or ladders.

3. Getting the Right Width & Fit

Wide feet, swelling, bunions, hammertoes or braces can make standard work boots unbearable. That’s why many of our styles offer:

  • True wide and extra-wide widths (not just “roomy” regular sizes).
  • Extra depth to accommodate custom orthotics or AFOs.
  • Roomier toe boxes to reduce rubbing, pinching and pressure on sensitive areas.

If your current boots feel tight, or your toes hit the end by midday, we strongly recommend taking a moment to measure your feet. Use our step-by-step guide here: Measure Your Foot Size.
