Here is a great Pasta with Onion Sauce recipe if you are a diabetic/dtfootwear.com
I never thought a diabetic dish could be so tasty.
A splash of wine plus a hint of nutmeg add extraordinary flavor to this creamy yet low-fat pasta side dish.
Assembled in just 10 minutes and cooked in 15 minutes, this dish is fast and easy enough for a weeknight, yet looks and tastes fantastic.
Your family and friends are sure to love this simple Italian recipe.
1) 3 ounces dried linguine or fettuccine
2) 1-1/2 cups broccoli florets
3) Nonstick spray coating
4) 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
5) 3/4 cup fat-free milk
6) 2 teaspoons cornstarch
7) 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
8) Dash pepper
9) Dash ground nutmeg
10) 2 tablespoons dry white wine
11) 1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (2 ounces)
1. Cook linguine or fettuccine according to package directions, adding the broccoli for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Drain well.
2. Meanwhile, lightly coat a large skillet with nonstick spray coating.
Add onion to the skillet. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat about 10 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
3. In a small bowl stir together milk, cornstarch, bouillon granules, pepper, and nutmeg.
Add to onion in skillet.
Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
Stir in wine and cheese until cheese is melted.
Pour cheese mixture over pasta and broccoli; toss to coat.
Makes 5 side-dish servings.
We have the best athletic, casual, and fashionable men’s and women’s walking styles in the Orthopedic/Therapeutic/Comfort line of shoes in the country.
We have the lengths and the hard-to-find widths.
Anyone who requires an adequately fitted width must understand that the shoes must have an extension on the sole to properly contain their foot without the foot hanging over the shoe.
What that means is that every width (in a higher percentage of our shoes) will be two times wider at the outsole of the shoe.
For example, if you require a 6 E width, we’ll have an 8 E bottom for the base of that width.
Therefore, no overhang of your feet and a perfect base to provide all the necessary support and balance.
Also, be sure to wear proper footwear and use inserts to keep this disease out of your feet.
“Shoes for Diabetic” and “Shoes Diabetic” will teach you the many advantages of proper footwear and why Orthopedic/Therapeutic/Comfort shoes are the only way to ensure a successful fit and the comfort you want.
A comfort shoe is not always an Orthopedic/Therapeutic shoe.
Also, keep in mind that a comfort shoe often has very little midsection support.
The lack of midsection support allows the feet to move forward and laterally at the same time.
These combined movements will increase stress to your feet.
