If you wear a large size in footwear, you are not alone. Many well know female celebrities are known to wear the larger size in their footwear. Here is one: Nona Gaye, who wears a size 11 in her footwear. Here are some interesting facts about this great lady. We go to a 15 in women’s length and 17 in men’s length as well. Now if Nona needs a wider width – we have B to a 14E in our line of shoes, and that is in women’s and men’s as well.
Nona Marvisa Gaye was born on September 17, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, to Janis Hunter and R&B legend Marvin Gaye. However, she was raised in Washington DC. Although her middle name is Marisa, she was led to believe that it was Aisha until the age of 12.
It can be said that Nona grew up in the spotlight. Her father brought her onto the stage when she was only three weeks old. Later, when she was about six years old, she made an appearance on the TV show Soul Train, in which she introduced her father.
Nona reports that her famous father was decent, happy and friendly, but his drug addiction made it difficult for her to relate to him. In 1981, Marvin and Janis divorced. In 1984, he was shot and killed after a dispute with his father.
Still, music was something that was in Nona’s blood and there was no denying that she would try to make it her career as well. When she was 14, she made her first demo tape. It didn’t take long for music industry executives to take note of her great talent.
Two years later, when Nona was 16, she signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records. In 1992, she released her first album, Love for the Future. Highly praised by critics, the music was snappy, catchy and upbeat. The LP’s first single, “I’m Overjoyed,” went as high as #17 on R&B charts.
At the same time, this was a confusing period for Nona. For three years, she dated internationally renowned entertainer Prince. Even though the relationship lasted a rather long time, Nona feels that it was very superficial, as well as being filled with mind screws and head trips.
Back then, she had fallen into the old family pattern and developed a drug addiction of her own. She took a break from the limelight to clean up her act and find herself. In 1997, now drug-free, she gave birth to a son, Nolan, whom she raises alone.
She returned to the recording studio in 2001 and joined U2front man Bono and Artists Against AIDS Worldwide. They recorded her father’s hit “What’s Going On” and the proceeds went to stop the spread of AIDS in Africa.
Her beauty being on the same level as her singing, she then signed a contract with the Ford Modeling Agency. In this new role as a model, she shot an ad campaign for Armani and strutted her stuff on the catwalks for Gianni Versace.
Then, Nona was bitten by the acting bug. Well, she had already had a walk-on part in the Eddie Murphy comedy Harlem Nights (1989), where she was required to hand poker chips to Richard Pryor, but the cameo ended up on the cutting room floor.
In 2001, she was ready to see if she could get a real acting career. Her agent sent her out to her first audition, a sports biopic starring Will Smith and Jon Voight The movie was the Academy Award-nominated Ali (2001) and Nona was cast as Muhammad Ali’s second wife. She was so good in the part that USA Today pleaded for her to be nominated for the Oscars as well.
In August 2001, singer and up-and-coming actress Aaliyah’s plane crashed in the Bahamas. Before her death, she had been cast as Zee in the forthcoming sequels to the runaway hit The Matrix.
The filmmakers needed a replacement, and it didn’t take long for them to turn to Nona. She was soon flown to Australia to shoot her scenes as Zee in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions (both in 2003).
Sharing the screen with the likes of Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss proved a fantastic career move, as the movies have grossed over $1 billion US worldwide.
Suddenly, she was in demand. Soon after, she shot the family fantasy film The Polar Express with Tom Hanks as well as the Sandra Bullock/Brendan Fraser drama Crash, both released in 2004.
In February of that same year, she sang the national anthem at the NBA All-Star Game. The kicker was that she sang along with her father’s much-praised performance recorded at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game. The audience couldn’t get enough. And we certainly could never get enough of Nona either.
Being that Nona Gaye is an 11 in shoe sizes, and we carry four lengths pass his size, we carry up to a 15 in length for women and for men we carry up to 17 in length in our footwear. I don’t know Nona’s width but if he needs a wider width, “Women’s Wide Shoes” then we have that for her as well being that we carry up to 14E width, and that is men’s as well.
I need to talk to the men out there. Is your 6E hurting your feet? I have received three calls this week stating that problem. This is why our 9E program has been an unbelievable success!!!! Oh, a note: all 3 of those men love their new 9E width shoes!!
All so what is so important about those FREE 3 sets of inserts. First, we are the only site on the internet that offers 3 sets FREE!!! Second, if your feet hurt on the bottom, it is because the lack of support and this is what these heat moldable customized inserts do for your feet. More foundation and they mold to the plantar(bottom) of your foot and creates that maximum support, balance, and comfort.
WE NOW HAVE 80 NEW STYLES FOR MEN’S, AND WOMEN’S IN FASHION FOOTWEAR added to our website. Also, we have a whole new division of 9E widths for men. We are the only internet site, on the web, to offer FREE 3 sets of inserts for every purchase of a pair of shoes for men and women. These inserts created an added support, balance, customization and added circulation to the foot! The reason for three sets, FREE, is that the material on the upper will compress down over time, and the material loses its effect of creating heat for added circulation benefits. So every four months you replace them, and you have a whole supply for One Year.
The question I get is “what does this have to do with the working environment?” Besides this being an interesting story and you as a reader to understand the need for proper length and width for your feet to be 100 percent comfortable. The fewer distractions and the better health, in your life, the more output and outlook you’ll have towards life and especially towards work. Meaning that you gain better status in your working environment, and your total daily production is not at risk. If your shoe is too large, too tight, too heavy (in weight), no support, wow what a comfort problem!! A SIGNIFICANT FACT, IF YOU HAVE AN EMPLOYEE THAT IS MISFIT IN A PAIR OF SHOES (TO SMALL OR WHATEVER) then you have a miserable employee, and production is the guarantee to be at a lower rate!
Women’s and Men’s Wide Shoes” then we have that for her as well-being that we carry up to 14E width, and that is men’s as well.
Health is the number one priority for any person but especially a person who is diabetic or has foot conditions. We also want to create the appropriate health for your feet, and this will occur by proper footwear and the correct inserts. This following information, you’ll be reading, is what is needed to obtain this perfect health for your feet.
Now, if we can get you in the proper footwear and hopefully you’ll allow these two items to be part of your lifestyle. These things will be working towards this success in keeping the disease out of your feet. We, at dtfootwear.com, can show you the proper footwear and the need to have the proper inserts to maintain this diabetes out of your feet. Footwear as to have fashion (that we have) but the shoe is to control upper support and off-load any problems that you have at the top of your foot. Now, if you have problems, on the bottom of your feet, then it is the job of the properly removable insert to correct these issues. Everybody feels that it is the shoe that solves all the problems for a diabetic or a person who has major foot problems and that is not true. It takes two majors elements to off-loading, corrections, significant added support and develops combined circulation, which needs to keep this disease out of your feet. All diabetic shoes need not have inside seams to create irritation.
Number one item: Proper shoes need to be a Therapeutic/Comfort (please!), not Comfort shoes (that many diabetic suppliers furnish in this business today).
Number two is Customized Heat Moldable Plastazote Insert. Beside excellent support, added off-loading advantages, develops a better balance for walking or running and the added two percent that raise the temperature of the bottom of your feet and produces combined circulation to keep the disease out of your feet. What added pleasures and advantages in just one item. Oh, yes these inserts are provided, by us, FREE when you purchase a pair of shoes – unbelievable!!!!
Please take this blog very serious because if you could spend a day with us – you would not believe the different types of a complication of not having the proper footwear and inserts and not taking care of your feet.
So, how you see the importance of a Diet and the proper footwear make your feet healthy at all times.
We have the best athletic, casual, elegant designs, walking styles of men’s and women’s in the Therapeutic/Comfort line of shoes in the country. We have the length and the widths and where proud of our designs and construction in the world of “Women’s Wide Shoes.” Any person that needs correct width needs to know that the shoes need an extension on the sole of the shoe to adequately house their foot with no hangover with their feet to the shoe. Meaning that every width, with us (in a good percentage of our shoes), have two widths wider at the outsole of the shoe? So if you need a 6E width, we’ll have an 8E bottom for the base of that width. So again no hangover for your feet and a perfect base for your feet to have all the support and balance that is needed.
A Comfort shoe is usually not a Therapeutic shoe, and a Comfort shoe usually has little midsection support. The lack of the Mid-Section support allows your feet to be moving forward and lateral at the same time. These two movements add a great deal more wear and tear on your feet. If you need a view of all our styles, please go to our site dtfootwear.com
