If I Have Missing toes  Do I have to have a Toe Filler Insert” to help offset the missing space?

The answer is yes and no. It depends on what toes are missing and if your missing toes will not be able to stop the forward movement to your foot inside the shoe.

If it is the 1st and 2nd flange (toes) that will be a yes.  Your movement will tend to have a forward movement, and this can create a deal of major irritation. If it is the 3rd or 4th flange, you’ll most like not need a customized insert inside your shoe – the reason is that the 1st, 2nd and 5th will be your support in not having that forward movement.

If you decided to obtain a toe feeler – where can you go, in your area, to purchase one?

Check with an “O & P” shop in your area ( Hanger is a very good shop, and they have 738  offices coast to coast). Now an “O” means Orthopedic and “P” stands for Prosthetic, The cost will vary from 150.00 to 350.00 and could be more, and could be less.  They take an impression of your foot (foam box) and put plaster inside and create a form to build their inserts to create that “bumper card or toe filler system.”

There are also some very good DPM offices (DPM meaning a podiatrist office) and just call and ask them if they do “toe filler inserts.” Also, a podiatrist will evaluate your foot to determine if it is necessary t in needing a toe filler.

You can purchase one form us, and it will cost you $95.00 for one customized toe filler insert, and the procedure is to text us a picture of your foot (without socks) to 909 215 1622. Then we send you a foam box ( not cost for shipping to you), and we have two  videos to show you how to use a foam box correctly:

Then you send the foam box back to use and inform us the size of your shoe and make sure your shoe has a removable insole, which you can fully take it out and replace the new insert inside. Your shoe has to have a deep enough construction to hold this type of toe filler insert. If not, it is time for a new pair of shoes that will accommodate this type of an insert.

If you need a new pair of shoes to accommodate this problem then I suggested www.dtfootwear.com, and there are a few additional advantages in purchasing our product:

Again, we carry sizes from 4A to 14E widths for Men and Women. Try to find all those sizes under one website! Yes, we do provide 9E 10E and 14E widths for Men and Women. Most of our styles are perfect for diabetics as well, but you don’t have to be a diabetic to fall in love with our footwear and inserts. 80 percent of our customers are individuals that need that added support (because their current shoe is lacking support and comfort and is very disappointing to them). They need the feeling of maximum support/comfort and the additional feeling of “walking on a pillow” all day long ( this pillow concept is from dealing with our unbelievable insert program) with their new footwear.

Again, receive 1 to 3 sets of Heat Moldable Customized Inserts (value up to $240) all for FREE – YES FREE!! Once you start wearing these inserts, you never go back to the conventional form of support. Most shoes and that is athletic, or comfort footwear provides poor supporting inserts.

  1. Had a toe removed by my podiatrist.
Every month or so, he would make me a toe, a composite which looks like rubber and places it between toes and it dries but not very solid.
i cannot find the elements so i can make it. he pushed it in between and it fits great, but it does wear out I do not see see any longer for various reasons, and cannot call him, for the material he uses.
Perhaps you know what the elements are.
    Thank you

    1. Hi Melvin,

I don’t know what he is using for material – I would need to see the device to determine the material. Go to another locals podiatrist and take the item with you and have then duplicate if for you. Normally, if the first big toe is missing – then a toe filler is put within an insert for you not to move forward in your shoes. A spacer for missing toes of 2 to 5 usually never requires a spacer between those toes

  2. My father just lost both of his big toes what would be best to get for him as a filler for his shoes please and thank you 😊

  5. Hello I had all my toes amputated on my left foot. Lisfranc amputation …I need a shoe filler can you quote me a price ?

    1. We stay away from toe amputation fillers- because the foam box. if not use correctly, will not give a perfect concept of the needed area to have the filler position. Go to a O P shop, eg Hanger, and have then do the filler for you. Their cost I’m not sure.
