Foot Ulcers are the Most Problematic to the foot
Of the foot complication through being diabetic the foot ulcers is the most problematic to the foot. Foot ulcers are local skin defects with inflammation or infection. They can be caused by lack of circulation, infection, lack of protection, and improperly fitting footwear. In the footwear most diabetics try to go to a comfort shoe not the proper shoe that is design for the diabetic or what we call “Shoes for Diabetic” and that is a Therapeutic shoe.
A break in the skin without proper treatment may become an ulcer. Diabetics are at higher risk for developing foot ulcers. The Heat Moldable Plastazote inserts and the proper Therapeutic is the saving grace to prevent this program.
With a diabetic foot, a wound as small as a blister from wearing a shoe that’s too tight can cause a lot of the damage. This is where this “Shoes Diabetic Footwear” is needed. Decreased blood flow form diabetes will often cause injuries to heal slowly. When your wound is not healing, it’s at risk for infection, as a diabetic, your infections spread quickly. If you have diabetes you should inspect your feet at least every day, preferably twice a day and make sure you inspected the bottom of your feet. You are looking for signs of puncture wounds, bruises, and pressure areas of redness, warmth, blisters, ulcers, scratchers, cuts and nail problems.
We have the best athletic, casual, dressy designs, walking styles of men’s and women’s in the Therapeutic/Comfort line of shoes in the country. We have the length and the widths and where proud of our designs and construction in the world of “Women’s Wide Shoes” Any person that needs a proper fitting width needs to know that the shoes need a extension on the sole of the shoe to properly house their foot with no hang over with their feet to the shoe. What is meant that every width, with us (in a good percentage of our shoes) have two width wider at the outsole of the shoe. So if you need a 6E width, we’ll have an 8E bottom for the base of that width. So again no hang over for your feet and a perfect base for your feet to have all the support and balance that is needed.
A Comfort shoe is usually not a Therapeutic shoe and a Comfort shoe usually has very little mid section support. The lack of the Mid Section support allows your feet to be moving forward and lateral at the same time. These two movements add a great deal more wear and tear on your feet.
