Do you remember Elden Campbell, who played 15 years in the NBA. His story below and wears a shoe larger than Shaq 22 ½ . Oh NO, we don’t carry Elden’s shoe size in a 22 ½. Sorry we only go to a 17 in length and for Ladies we carry up to 15, and if Elden did wear a 17 and needed wider widths – we have up to 14 E widths in (men’s for him and Ladies as well) our line of shoes.
Elden Jerome Campbell, born July 23, 1968 in Los Angeles, California is a retired American professional basketball player who played center in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Elden attended Morningside High School in Inglewood, California before playing college basketball at Clemson University. During his four years at Clemson, he averaged 15.3 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game and 2.7 blocks. His college team was involved in one of the most notable plays in college basketball history – a one-point loss in the 1990 NCAA Tournament to a Connecticut team following a miraculous full-court catch-and-shoot play by Tate George with one second on the clock. That same year, the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Elden with the 27th pick in the 1990 NBA Draft.
On March 10, 1999, Elden was traded by the Lakers along with Eddie Jones to the Charlotte Hornets for Glen Rice, J.R. Reid and B.J. Armstrong. His longest tenures were with the Lakers and the Hornets (in Charlotte and New Orleans); he would also play with the Seattle SuperSonics and briefly for the New Jersey Nets, spending most of the final two seasons of his career as a member of the Detroit Pistons, being on roster in the 2004 NBA Championship team. During his tenure with the Pistons, perhaps his most important contribution was playing excellent defense on star center Shaquille O’Neal in the two playoff series in which the Pistons engaged Elden teams (the Lakers in the 2004 finals, the Miami Heat in the 2005 NBA Eastern Conference Finals); because of his enormous bulk and strength, he presented a unique challenge to O’Neal in the low post and was one of the few NBA players who could pose a serious physical challenge to O’Neal on defense.
His 15-year career comprised 1,044 games, of which he started 671, and 106 playoff games, of which he started 53. In 15 seasons, Elden averaged 10.3 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks. He is especially known for his shot-blocking ability, with 1,602 career blocks.
Notably, Elden is the Los Angeles Lakers’ leading scorer for the decade of 1990-1999.

Being that Elden Campbell is a 22 ½ in shoe size, that is 5 ½ sizes out of our size bracket (we carry up to a 17 in length for men and for you ladies we carry up to 15 in length) and I don’t know Elden’s width but if he was a size 20 and needed a wide width, “Extra Wide Shoes’ or “Wide Wide Shoes” then we could have it for him as well. Being Men’s we carry up to 14E width and we do the same for Ladies shoes.
We have the best athletic, casual, dressy designs, walking styles of men’s and women’s in the Therapeutic/Comfort line of shoes in the country. We have the length and the widths and where proud of our designs and construction in the world of “Women’s Wide Shoes” Any person that needs a proper fitting width needs to know that the shoes need a extension on the sole of the shoe to properly house their foot with no hang over with their feet to the shoe. What is meant that every width, with us (in a good percentage of our shoes) have two width wider at the outsole of the shoe. So if you need a 6E width, we’ll have an 8E bottom for the base of that width. So again no hang over for your feet and a perfect base for your feet to have all the support and balance that is needed.
A Comfort shoe is usually not a Therapeutic shoe and a Comfort shoe usually has very little mid section support. The lack of the Mid Section support allows your feet to be moving forward and lateral at the same time. These two movements add a great deal more wear and tear on your feet.
